Evidence of Change


This was the magazine advert we were planning to use as our final magazine advert. However due to a number of opinions and suggestions from our peers and our media teacher we decided to change our final magazine as we felt it did not represent our artists and the genre of our music. We thought the magazine advert had more hip hop and rnb concepts such as the dark backgrounds and dull colours as apposed to pop/indie concepts thus the reason we changed the magazine advert. We used a different image on the magazine cover as previously we used the same image on the front cover of the album and the magazine. Instead of using the same images on both texts we decieded to use a different image on the magazine with a copy of the album on the page. Audiences would therefore be able to cross refrence both texts and be able to relate to the music being promoted as they would be able to recognise the artists. This also represents continuity a concept Andrew Goodwin highlighted in his theory.
